We’re excited to share that Novax is sponsoring Kocaeli University’s Formula Student team, KOU Racing, as they gear up for Formula SAE Italy, taking place from September 10–14, 2025. Seeing talented students turn their ideas into real electric vehicles is inspiring, and we’re proud to be part of their journey.

Formula SAE is a world-renowned student design competition organized by SAE International (Society of Automotive Engineers).

Brought to Europe in the early 2000s, the competition has grown to become a key platform for the next generation of automotive engineers. In 2025, more than 1,700 students from universities worldwide participated in Formula SAE Italy.

KOU Racing is the official Formula Student program of Kocaeli University, bringing together two dedicated teams:

KOU Formula – focuses on conventional designs and foundational engineering.
KOU Formula E – pioneers electric vehicle innovation for the competition.

The team’s mission is to push the boundaries of engineering and innovation while gaining invaluable hands-on experience that shapes the future of mobility.

KOU Racing is the official Formula Student team of Kocaeli University, working on cutting-edge electric cars and gaining hands-on experience in engineering and innovation. Our Novax logo will appear on their car and team apparel, symbolizing our support for their hard work and dedication.

The competition consists of two main categories:

Static Events:

Design Event: Presentation of the car’s full technical concept.
Business Event: Pitching the project to potential investors.
Cost Event: Analyzing the cost and production feasibility.

Dynamic Events:

Acceleration, Skid Pad, Autocross, and the Endurance Event, which evaluates the car’s performance over an intense 22 km race.
